MERRIWA GARDEN RAMBLE

SUSTAINABLE & WATERWISE GARDENING IN A DIFFICULT CLIMATE

SAT/SUN 22 & 23 0CTOBER 2016

Presented by the Anglican Parish of Merriwa

Merriwa is a district of hidden treasures; nestled amongst the hills and dales are gardens with much history, intriguing plant species and magnificent views.

During the weekend of 22 & 23 October seven local gardens will be open to the public for
the ‘Merriwa Garden Ramble’. All of the gardens are within 11 km of the centre of town.
This will be a two day treat for garden and nature lovers, offering beautifully created town gardens and rambling rural retreats. The design of each garden offers an irresistable invitation to visitors to ramble and explore.

The gardens present a different style in order to respond to variations in soil type, aspect and location. There are exotic and native plant species and interesting landscaping features, all artistically arranged by the owners.
To top it all, you will be blown away by breathtaking views of the Liverpool Ranges to the north.

Refreshments, a sausage sizzle, garden talks, plant sales, magical music and more will be on offer.

Entry fee including all gardens is $20.00 per person and $15.00 for concession card holders. Children under 12 – no charge.

Information brochures and tickets will be available at ‘Di’s Clothing Patch’, McConnell’s Hardware, Sylvia’s Cafe and other outlets. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gardens.
